Light rains accompanied by thundershowers today occurred at few places in Uttar Pradesh with Shahjahanpur recording the lowest minimum temperature of 3.1 degrees Celsius in the state.
According to the MeT office, temperature rose largely in Lucknow division, markedly in Faizabad, Allahabad, Kanpur, Agra, Meerut divisions, appreciably in Gorakhpur, Varanasi and Jhansi divisions, rose in Moradabad division and changed little in Bareilly division.
Meanwhile, rain showers were today reported in Muzaffarnagar and adjoining areas of the city which brought down the temperature considerably.
The department, in a forecast, said rain or thundershowers may occur at few places tomorrow.
