Lokayukta nabs municipal official accepting bribe

Lokayukta police caught a clerk posted in the local municipal body's development wing red handed today, while allegedly accepting a bribe.

Acting on a tip-off, the Lokayukta team caught a clerk identified as Shivshankar Dandotia accepting a bribe of Rs 7,000 from one Mukesh Sharma for approving a plan of his residence.

Later, Dandotia was released on bail by Lokayukta officials on the spot. A case is registered against the clerk under Prevention of Corruption Act.
