The lone Janata Dal (United) legislator in Nagaland, B S Nganlang, today joined the ruling Naga People's Front (NPF).
NPF president Dr Shurhozelie Liezietsu said Nganlang joined the party after which its strength rose to 48 in the state 60-member House.
Liezietsu requested Assembly Speaker Chotisuh Sazo to show Nganlang as an NPF member.

Earlier 8 Congress MLAs joined the NPF on November 20, after which the lone NCP legislator L Khumo joined the ruling party seven days later.
Besides the 48 members of the NPF, the Assembly has 4 MLAs of BJP and eight are Independents.
