Maharashtra Governor-designate Bhagat Singh Koshyari arrived here by a special flight on Wednesday.
Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis welcomed Koshyari at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport.
Later, Koshyari was presented a guard of honour by a police squad at a ceremonial event held at Raj Bhavan, an official statement said.
Former Uttarakhand Chief Minister Koshyari is set to take oath as the Governor on Thursday.
Koshyari is replacing Vidyasagar Rao, who completed his tenure in Raj Bhavan last month.
