Man allegedly kills wife, commits suicide

A debt-ridden man allegedly murdered his wife and then committed suicide at Adavi Padira village under Yellareddypet police limits, 60 km from here, last night, police said.

Inspector T Muralidhar said Bhukya Kogul Singh, who had four daughters and a son, was heavily indebted after marrying off his two daughters.

Last night he took his wife to a nearby maize field and bludgeoned her to death with a stick, and later killed himself by drinking insecticide, police said. Further probe is on.
