Man held for murder in Thane

A 32-year-old man from Ulhasnagar township of the district was today arrested for allegedly murdering a youth, police said.

The victim - Azgar Hussain Abdul Manhan Khan (22) - and the accused Rajkumar R Jha had a financial dispute following which the latter attacked him with a sharp weapon last evening in Prabhudev Nagar locality, Ulhasnagar police station's inspector A V Saingaonkar said.

The victim died on the spot, he said adding that the body has been sent to central hospital for postmortem.

The accused was arrested in the early hours today and booked under section 302 (murder) of IPC, police added.
