Man held for selling liquor

One person was today arrested for allegedly selling liquor near Gudalur, about 70 km from here, and 33 bottles were seized from his possession.

Sale of liquor has been banned today, Gandhi Jayanti.

The Prohibition wing of the police, on information, rushed to the spot and held one Mustafa, who was found selling liquor.

Mustafa was produced before District Judge Arunachalam at his house and he was remanded to judicial custody for 15 days.
