Man kidnapped at gun-point in UP

A 65-year-old man was kidnapped at gun-point allegedly by five persons near Kasimpur village in the district, police said today.

The incident took place last Thursday when Rampal Singh and his son Dharmedra were going to a diesel pump station, they said.

Five armed men intercepted them near Kasimpur village and kidnapped Rampal while firing at his son who had a close shave, police said.

An FIR was registered in this connection yesterday against Abhilakh, Vijay and three others, they said, adding investigation is underway and no arrests have been made so far.
