One person died after the vehicle he was driving fell into an open well near Vartej town of Bhavnagar district, police said here today.
The incident took place this morning when the car was heading to Bhavnagar from Vartej.
The victim, identified as Manji Harji Vavadiya, who was alone in the car lost control over the vehicle after its tyre got punctured, due to which it veered towards an open well along the road and fell into it, police said.
People working on the nearby fields heard the sound and rushed to the spot. However, Vavadiya died on the spot, police added.
A fire brigade team from Bhavnagar fished out the body and the vehicle from the well, police said.
