Man poisons wife, minor son; hangs self

A 35-year-old factory worker today murdered his wife and toddler and then hanged himself to death over a petty family issue, police said today.

The shoe-factory worker, Satya Pal Jatav, was fed up with his mother-in-law and thus took this drastic step, they said.

The suicide note that Jatav wrote on a wall addressed to SP city, puts the blame on his mother-in-law who was too interfering in their lives, police said.

Resident of Langre ki chowki area under Hari Parbat police station, Jatav worked in a local shoe factory and returned late in the evening.

Investigating policemen said, he first poisoned his wife Jyoti (30) and 6-8 month-old son Shivam, and later hanged himself using the rope of the cot.
 

However their 3-year-old daughter Palak survived, as she was out of the room.
