Man run over by car while crossing road

A 45-year-old man was mowed down by a car while crossing the road near Chirag Dilli flyover in south Delhi today.

The deceased, identified as Imtiyaz, was a street vendor and lived with his family in Garhi village, the police said.

The accused driver Akhilesh (26) has been arrested. He also suffered injuries as his car hit a road divider after hitting Imtiyaz.
