Man stabbed over money dispute

A 28-year-old man was allegedly stabbed to death by his friend over a monetary dispute in Chapraula village, the police said today.

Sandip owed Rs 40,000 to one Pankaj Gupta of Kotwali area.

Yesterday, Gupta went to Sandip's residence in Gautam Buddha Nagar district to ask for his money during which they had a heated argument and Gupta allegedly stabbed Sandip and fled from the spot, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) (C O City 2nd) Manisha Singh said.

He was admitted to a nearby hospital where he was declared brought dead, Singh said.

The body has been sent for postmortem, she said, adding the accused is still at large.
