A man has been arrested after two ivory tusks were allegedly found in his possession in Assam's Golaghat district today.
Patrolling CRPF personnel, during routine search, found two ivories at Merapani bordering Nagaland with a person identified as Muluk Ali.
The ivories weighed more than 2.5 kg each and estimated to be worth more than Rs 15 lakh.

During interrogation, Ali claimed that the tusks were given to him by some people in Margherita and he was asked to hand these over to a person at Wokha in Nagaland.
Ali was handed over to police and further investigations were on.
