Manipur join Chhattisgarh in semis of women's Jr hockey natls

Manipur thrashed Vidarbha Hockey Association 6-0 to join Chhattisgarh in the semi-finals of the fourth Hockey India Junior Women National Championship 2014 here today.
Manipur and Chhattisgarh have booked their semi-final berths for from Pool A and Pool C respectively.
In their last league match of Pool A, Manipur rode on Sonia Devi's hat-trick (17th, 49th, 60th minutes) to register a convincing win over Vidarbha Hockey Association, their third in a row.

Apart from Sonia, Bidyarani Devi (39th, 47th minutes) scored two goals while Gitarani Devi (22nd minute) found the net once for Manipur.
Meanwhile in the another Pool A match, Uttarakhand spanked Tripura 18-0.
For Uttarakhand, Mamta Bhatt and Pooja Bhatt scored five goals each, while Surbhi Tiwari and Maya Bisht sounded the board four times each.

Pool A: Uttarakhand 18 Mamta Bhatt (3rd, 13th, 22nd, 49th, 65th); Surbhi Tiwari (5th, 10th, 33rd, 36th); Pooja Bhatt (9th, 21st, 45th, 64th, 68th); Maya Bisht (15th, 26th, 62nd, 70th) vs Tripura 0.
