A wanted woman Maoist cadre, allegedly involved in several offensives, surrendered before police here, police said today.
Reena Mallik alias Ranjita (25), working with the Niyamgiri dalam in Rayagada district, surrendered yesterday, police said.
"Ranjita was in our wanted list for her involvement in several Maoist offensives in Rayagada and Kandhamal districts," Superintendent of Police (Rayagada) K Siba Subramani said.
The surrendered Maoist would be rehabilitated as per the policy of the government, the SP said.
