Maoist splinter group leader shot dead

A leader of a Maoist splinter group has been shot dead by unidentified men at Birhu village in Chatra district, the police said today.

Guddu Ganju, the supremo of extremist outfit Jharkhand Prastuti Committee, was killed yesterday.

His bullet-riddled body was recovered from the jungles under Simaria police station today, they said.
