Bulk tea major McLeod Russel India Ltd today announced a net loss of Rs 32 crore for the first quarter ended June 2014.
This was against a profit of Rs 26.21 crore in the corresponding period last year.
Net sales was down to Rs 99.38 crore during the quarter against Rs 174.45 crore registered in the corresponding quarter of 2013-14, the company said in a statement.

The company said sales quantity was lower by 43 lakh kg to 56 lakh kg during the quarter under review.
Tea production during the quarter was 178 lakh kgs as against 240 lakh kg registered during the same period last year.
