A student of a government medical college in Himachal Pradesh was found dead at his hostel room, police said today.
Dheeraj Soni (40) a second year student, was lying in supine position, they said.
After receiving the information, a police team reached the spot and investigated the matter, SP Kangra Santosh Patiala said.
On inspection, a bottle of liquor, some anaesthesia injections, painkillers, an empty bottle of normal saline (glucose) with syringe were found in the room, he said.
The family of the deceased was informed, the SP said, adding a post-mortem will be conducted tomorrow.
