Medium sugar recovered at the Vashi wholesale market here today due to fresh demand from stockists and retailers.
While, small sugar eased owing to subdued demand from stockists and bulk consumers.
Medium sugar (M-30) gained by Rs 10 per quintal to Rs 3,782/3,972 from last Saturday's level of Rs 3,772/3,972.
However, small sugar (S-30) softened by Rs 2 per quintal to Rs 3,720/3,790 as against previous weekends close Rs 3,720/3,792.
Following are today's closing rates for sugar (per quintal) with the previous rates given in brackets:
Small sugar (S-30) quality: Rs 3,720/3,790 (Rs 3,720/3,792).
Medium sugar (M-30) quality: Rs 3,782/3,972 (Rs 3,772/3,972).
