Medium sugar recovers on renewed demand

Small sugar declined further on lower demand from stockists and bulk consumers.

The medium sugar (M-30) rose by Rs 11/33 per quintal to Rs 3,612/3,752 from Rs 3,601/3,719 previously.

However, the small sugar (S-30) fell by Rs 14/20 per quintal to Rs 3,522/3,612 from tuesday's closing level of Rs 3,536/3,632.

The following are today's closing rates for sugar (per quintal) with the previous rates given in brackets:

Small sugar (S-30) quality: Rs 3,522/3,612 (Rs 3,536/3,632.

Medium sugar (M-30) quality: Rs 3,612/3,752 (Rs 3,601/3,719).
