Body of a 45-year-old woman, allegedly choked to death, was today found in a field at village Bhaisravali in Tigaon Ballabgarh area of the district, police said.

The body was spotted by Jagdev Sharma, a local resident, who said that while working on his fields he noticed the body lying in any adjoining field, police said.

Sharma then informed police who rushed to the spot, said Tigaon SHO Inspector Rajdeep Singh.

When found, the medium-built body bore signs of bleeding from the nose and was wearing a printed salwar suit.

The body of the woman has not been identified by any of the locals.

Apparently, said the officer, the woman was killed by throttling and her own chunni was used for the purpose.

He informed that the hand of the woman was bearing a tattoo 'Harisingh ki Dharmpatni' (wife of Harisingh).

The body also bore another tattoo with three names, probably of her children, that read Babli and Maya while the third one was not legible, Singh said.

A case has been registered at Tigaon police station in Faridabad under section 302 and 201 of the IPC.
