Migrant killed, another injured in road accident

A migrant labourer was killed and another got injured after being hit by a four-wheeler near village Rehana Jattan, 16 km from here, on Phagwara-Hoshiarpur road, police said today.

The mishap occurred last evening when the victims were returning to their village, they said.

The deceased was identified as Shivji Mandal, a native of Bihar, presently living in village Rehana Jattan, SHO Joginderpal said, adding Shiv Lal, also from Bihar and living in Rehana Jattan, sustained injuries and was hospitalised here.
