Minister asks officials to tackle district's drought situation

Maharashtra Water Resources Minister Girish Mahajan who is also Nashik's guardian minister told officials today to co-operate with the government in tackling the district's drought situation, due to inadequate rainfall, a state government official said here today.
He presided over a meeting at the collector's office today to review the drought situation, the official said.
The meeting was attended by Divisional Revenue Commissioner Eknath Davle, Collector Dipendrasinh Kushwaha, Nashik Municipal Corporation (NMC) Praveen Gedam, Mayor Ashok Murtadak, Nashik Sena MP Hemant Godse, Dindori BJP MP Harishchandra Chavan, as well as others, the official said.
Mahajan said that the government would provide funds for fodder to farmers.
