Mob lynch car thief, hand his associate over to police

An angry mob lynched a carlifter after he was caught red handed at Bashikhong Khonghampat area in Manipur's Imphal East district in the wee hours today, police said.

Another associate of the vehicle lifter was also caught by the mob with a stolen two wheeler vehicle from Kiyamgei area of the same district.

He was also beaten up by angry locals and later handed over to the police along with the stolen vehicle, police said.
