Prime Minister Narendra Modi today joined several global leaders at the inauguration of Kazakhstan's World EXPO 2017 which showcases vital innovation and technological prowess of the resource-rich central Asian country.
Modi visited several parts of the expo and later attended its gala inauguration.
India is among over 100 countries which are presenting their pavilions at the expo which is expected to be visited by millions of visitors over the next three months.

Modi was here to attend the annual summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation which inducted India and Pakistan as full members of the security grouping.
A series of high-decibel cultural events are also being organised as part of the Expo which is said to be the first world fair taking place in Central Asia in the last several decades.
The launch event of the expo was attended by leaders of almost all the SCO member countries.
