Moderate to heavy rains today lashed many places in eastern Uttar Pradesh as the south-west monsoon remained active in the region.
A few places in western region of the state also received showers since last evening, the weather office said.
Mirzapur received 11 cms of rains, Dalmau amd Rath 9 each, Kanpur 6, and Turtipar, Dabri, and Raibareilly five cms each, it said.
The MeT office has forecast rains or thundershowers at most places in the state in the next couple of days.
