Moong dal, sugar prices rise at wholesale foodgrains market

Prices of moong dal, sugar and sooji increased, while those of urad dal fell in the wholesale foodgrains market here today.

Besides, all other commodities ruled steady.

Moong dal prices went up by Rs 500 per quintal to Rs 10,300 against previous rate of Rs 9,800.

Sooji rates rose by Rs 50 per quintal to Rs 3,050 from Rs 3,000 and sugar increased by Rs 100 per quintal to Rs 2,900 against its previous rate of Rs 2,800.

However, urad dal fell by Rs 100 per quintal to Rs 13,000 from its previous level of Rs 13,100.

Prices of thoor dal, gram dal, wheat and maida maintained the same level.
 

Following are the wholesale rates of various agri-commodities (rates in rupees per quintal, unless stated otherwise): Thoor Dal Rs 14,200, Urad Dal Rs 13,000, Moong Dal Rs 10,300, Gram Dal Rs 6,400, Sugar Rs 2,900, Wheat Rs 3,000, Maida (90 kg) Rs 2,500 and Sooji (90 kg) Rs 3,000.
