Motorcycle trespassing derails loco of passenger train near

A locomotive of Nanded-Tirupati passenger train derailed between Mudkhed and Sivangaon stations in Nanded-Nizamabad section under South Central Railway zone tonight.

All passengers are stated to be safe.

"The negligence of a person who tried to trespass the railway track with his motorcycle led to obstruction of train No. 07607 Nanded-Tirupati special on the run, resulting in derailment of the locomotive between Mudkhed and Sivangaon stations on Nanded-Nizamabad section of Hyderabad Division around 20:27 hours tonight," South Central Railway stated in a release.

The Helpline number has been activated at Nizamabad: 9701476401, the release added.

In view of the incident, three passenger trains were partially cancelled, while four others were diverted.
