Mount Abu coldest in Rajasthan

Mount Abu was the coldest place in the desert state Rajasthan with a minimum temperature of 5.5 degrees Celsius.

Churu, in the plains, registered a night temperature of 6.6 degrees C.

Chittorgarh recorded a minimum of 8.3 degrees C, while the state capital Jaipur and SriGanganagar recorded identical minimum of 9 degrees Celsius, according to the MeT Department here.

Mercury in Pilani, Jodhpur, Jaisalmer, Ajmer and Kota settled at 9.8, 10.1, 11.2, 11.5 and 11.7 degrees Celsius respectively.

Temperature would further dip in parts of the state during next 24 hours, a forecast said.
