Madhya Pradesh police searched the residences of two people, who were arrested by Punjab police on the charge of suspected links with Pakistan's ISI, at Khokaria village near here, a police officer said today.

"Police couldn't find any incriminating documents, devices or stuff used in spying or anti-national activities during searches at the residence of the two locals who were arrested on the charge of suspected links with Pakistan's Inter Services Intelligence (ISI) on November 9 in Punjab's Ferozpur district," Bhopal's Superintendent of Police (North), Arvind Saxena said.

Police also searched for two other accused who accompanied the arrested duo to Punjab.

Shivnarayan Singh (43) and Arjun Maliviya (35), both hailing from Khokariya village near here were arrested in Ferozpur in Punjab after they ran short of money and sought help from a Pakistani woman with whom they came in contact through a social networking site about six months ago to foot their hotel bills.

However, they were rounded up after the hotel management passed on information to the police. Allegedly, they had posted some pictures of the nation's important establishments, the police said.

"We have searched their residences but didn't find any incriminating documents or anything else objectionable," Saxena said.

He said that a hunt has been launched to arrest David and Rahul Malviya, who are absconding. Allegedly, David drove Shivnarayan and Arjun to Ferozpur, while Rahul accompanied them.

Since the Punjab police recovered a scorpion from the possession of the arrested, the Madhya Pradesh police suspect that they may be engaged in smuggling insects with high medicinal value.

Meanwhile, Shivnarayan and Arjun were produced in a Ferozpur court which sent them to three days' police remand. They are being interrogated, the police.
