Municipalities Bill among 3 passed by Raj Assembly

The Rajasthan Assembly today passed three bills by voice vote.

They include Rajasthan Municipalities (Amendment) Bill, Rajasthan ILD Skill University Jaipur Bill and Bhartiya Skill Development University Jaipur Bill.

Urban Development and Housing Minister Srichand Kriplani said the Rajasthan Municipalities (Amendment) Bill was aimed at making the state clean and beautiful.

"With a view to implement the policy of the state government to amalgamate the laws relating to one department on connected subject in a single law wherever feasible, the Rajasthan Prevention of Defacement of Property Act, 2006 is proposed to be merged in the Rajasthan Municipalities Act, 2009 in the shape of a new Chapter," the objective of the bill said.
 

Replying to the debate on the Rajasthan ILD Skills University Bill, Labour Minister Jaswant Singh said the university will be a platform to converge the funding for sustainable skilling in the state.

The university will become the affiliating body for a large number of institutions operating in skill and vocational training, he said.

The Rajasthan ILD Skills University would be able to benchmark required standards for overall betterment of training and certification, its objectives said.
