Mustardseed prices edged up by Rs 22 to Rs 4,555 per quintal in futures trading today following increased buying by traders, tracking a firm trend at the physical markets.
Marketmen said firm demand in spot markets from oil mills, driven by festive season led to the rise in mustardseed prices at futures trade here.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, mustardseed for delivery in December was trading higher by Rs 22 or 0.49 per cent to Rs 4,555 per quintal, in an open interest of 28,680 lots.
Also, delivery in November was marked higher by Rs 14 or 0.31 per cent to Rs 4,531 per quintal, with an open interest of 41,650 lots.
