Press Trust of India New Delhi
Zinc prices moved down by 1.09 per cent to Rs 163.75 per kg in futures trade today as traders reduced their positions, driven by easing demand in the spot market.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc for delivery in December declined by Rs 1.80, or 1.09 per cent, to Rs 163.7 per kg, in a business turnover of 589 lots.

On similar lines, the metal for delivery in November shed Rs 1.70, or 1.03 per cent, to Rs 163.10 per kg in 13,052 lots.

Analysts said trimming of positions by participants due to tepid demand from consuming industries in the spot market helped zinc prices to trade lower at futures trade.
