Press Trust of India Jamshedpur
Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das today denied that his government had any role with regard to JVM(P) MLAs who joined the BJP.

We did not have any role in the six JVM(P) MLAs joining the BJP, he said while a replying a question in this regard at a press conference here.

Recently, six out of the eight JVM(P) MLAs had joined the BJP.

Regarding the large scale protest over Union Government's Land Acquisition Ordinance, Das said discussion over the issue should take place on the floor of the House and the government should welcome suggestions on it.

Parliament is meant to discuss issues in the interest of the country and its people and suggestions should also be sought from all parties to enable the government to act accordingly, he said.

He appreciated the Modi government for increasing the states' share of central taxes from 32 to 42 per cent.
