A truck carrying a drug consignment was seized today by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) officials from Garoth area in Madhya Pradesh's Mandsaur district, an official said.
The seizure comprised 868 kg Doda Chura (a drug), 7 kg opium and 50 gram heroin.
However, the persons accompanying the consignment managed to flee, said NCB Regional Director (Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh) BR Meena.

He said the drugs were headed to Haryana and Punjab.
"Acting on a tip off, we intercepted a truck in Garoth area and recovered 868 kg Doda Chura, 7 kg opium and 50 gram heroin. However, the peddlers manning the truck managed to escape," Meena said.
He expressed concern that illegal trading of narcotics is emerging as an organised crime in Neemuch and Mandsaur districts of the state.
