Narcotics seized

a joint operation seized cash, Phensedyl syrup and narcotics from a house at Gandhigram, near here, BSF sources said today.

Also seized were Rs 2.39 lakh in Bangladeshi currency in the raid last night, DIG, BSF (Headquarter), B S Rawat said today.

The total seizure was valued at Rs 61.38 lakh, he said.

The owner of the house, Nirmal Shil, known to be a smuggler, escaped, he said.
