NDFB(S) ultra held

NDFB-Songbijit militant B Matang alias Martin Basumatary, allegedly involved in the adivasi massacre on December 23 last, was arrested in a joint operation by 12 Assam Rifle and Assam Police today.

The militant was nabbed from Mainaguri area, Superintendent of Biswanath Chariali police station Manabendra Dev Ray said.

Police seized one pistol, one 7.65 mm magazine, three live rounds of 7.65 mm ammunition and a grenade from his possession.

Police also seized a mobile hand set from him.
