Nepal Prez attends Qawwali evening on eve of India's I-Day

Nepal President Bidya Devi Bhandari today attended a musical evening organised here on the eve of India's 70th Independence Day.

Noted singer Jafar Miya Nizami and his troupe presented Sham e-Qawwali at the function, organised by the Indian Embassy and Indian Culture Centre, Kathmandu.

President Bhandari was the chief guest on the occasion.

India's Ambassador to Nepal Ranjit Rae, Nepal Army chief Rajendra Chhetri and other dignitaries were also present on the occasion.
