MDMK chief Vaiko today said Trinamool Congress Secretary-General and West Bengal Education Minister Partha Chatterjee will participate in a demonstration organised by his party here next week, demanding release of files relating to Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose.

Vaiko flayed the NDA government for its refusal to declassify the files pertaining to the founder of Indian National Army, who is believed to have died in a plane crash, saying BJP had been raising the demand as an opposition party.

He recalled that he had earlier announced staging a protest demanding declassification of the files, adding that, TMC supremo and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee deputed Chatterjee after coming to know of MDMK's protest.

"Lauding (MDMK's proposal to hold protest), she had written to me stating that Partha Chatterjee will participate in it, scheduled on December 23," he said in a statement.
