Nickel, lead rise on industrial demand

Prices of and lead

rose by up to Rs 6 per kg at the market today following pick-up in demand from consuming industries.

Traders said uptick in demand consuming industries at domestic spot market, mainly led to rise in and lead prices.

In the national capital, plate (4x4) rose by Rs 6 to Rs 870-875 per kg. Lead ingot and lead imported also enquired higher by Rs 2 each to Rs 141 and Rs 148 per kg.

Following are today's rates (in Rs per kg):

Zinc ingot Rs 138-144, nickel plate (4x4) Rs 870-875, gun scrap Rs 227, bell metal scrap Rs 229, copper mixed scrap Rs 447, chadri deshi Rs 295.

Lead ingot Rs 141, lead imported Rs 148, aluminium ingots Rs 168, aluminium sheet cutting Rs 164, aluminium wire scrap Rs 164 and aluminium utensils scrap Rs 162.
