NMC fines shop keepers for stocking thinner carrybags

The health department of Nashik Municipal Corporation has impounded 300 kg of polythene carrybags with less than 50 micron thickness from four shops near Pethe High School here.

A fine of Rs 20,000 (Rs 5,000 per shop owner) was imposed and cases were registered against them, an official release from NMC said.
