Not donning the mask of a fitness freak, cricketer Lakshmi Ratan Shukla believes gorging on his favourite delicacies is the way to be in the prime of health.

"From the Mexican Nachos to Brazilian Churrascaria, both a hit in the just concluded World Cup, I savour all the global delicacies. I never look at bulging waistline when I am hungry," the Bengal team skipper told PTI at Sigree-Global Grill.

"I am a glutton but I won't say the same regimen should be followed by all sporstpersons. Yes, for burning calorie in training I don't need to," Lakshmi said.

Actor Rupa Ganguly, a self-confessed foodie, said, "More than the food and cuisine, the ambience of a place makes the serving palatable, a true appetiser, be it global-fusion or ethnically Indian.

"The 'Padma Nadir Majhi' actor savoured the Japanese Hibachi to Brazilian Churrascaria at the new world themed speciality, an arm of celebrity chef-entrepreneur Anjan Chatterjee's Mainland China.

"We are not mixing two different things together. We are not serving salsa in a spicy avatr," the chef said.
