NRI held with gold at Indo-Nepal border

An NRI has been arrested after gold valued at Rs 1.46 crore was allegedly recovered from his possession in Sonauli area on the Indo-Nepal border.

Dipak Bajaj (43), who is based in London, was arrested last night during a routine check and over four kg of gold was recovered from him, SSB commandant K S Bankhothi said today.

Bajaj has been handed over to customs authorities, he said.
