One held; country bombs seized

One person was today arrested and some country bombs, sickle and other weapons seized from him here, police said.

Police said Velkumar along with some persons were on their way allegedly to murder one Kalimuthu,who was on bail in connection with the murder of Pambu Pandi, a relative of a politicial functionary, when they were intercepted during a vehicle check.

While his associates managed to escape by jumping out from the autorickshaw in which they were travelling, Velkumar was arrested, police said.
