A minor girl was killed and 10 others injured when their hutments collapsed after huge boulders crashed on them following heavy rains at a slum colony in Bhiwandi town here.
While Shrushti Prashant Inamke (8) was buried alive last evening under the debris of the hutments at Ramnagar slum colony on Nagaon-Gayartri hillock, ten others sustained injuries in the mishap, district disaster control officer Dr Jaydeep Visawe said.
The injured were being treated at the state-owned IGM hospital, he said.
Firemen along with police officials and civic staff carried out rescue operation in the colony, he added.
