One person was killed and two others were seriously injured when a car they were travelling in rammed into a speeding truck here today, police said.
Ravikant was killed and Ashish and Shivakant were rushed to a hospital from where they were referred to a trauma centre in Lucknow, police said, adding, the three belong to Pure Lala Gurguj in Rae Bareli district.
The accident took place near village Mubarakpur on Rae Bareli-Faizabad road under Jagdishpur Police Station in the district.
The truck was on its way to Rae Bareli when the car rammed into it from its backside, police said.
Police took the truck into its custody but the driver fled the spot, they added.
