One woman killed, two others injured in solar battery blast

One woman was killed and 2 others injured when battery of a solar energy unit exploded at Badoda village in Jaisalmer district, police said today.

The incident took place last night when scores of women were busy in a marriage function and the solar battery of an inverter ripped off following a squall, they said.

The deceased woman has been identified as Dhapookanwar(45), police said, adding that the injured were rushed to Jawahar Hospital.
