Over four kilos of gold seized from woman passenger

Customs officials today seized 4.6 kilograms of gold from a woman passenger who arrived from Bangkok at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport here.

The woman landed at the airport here this afternoon in Tiger Airways flight.

She works as a shopkeeper in Bangkok and was carrying the yellow metal concealed in her dress, a customs official said, adding that the accused hails from Kadapa district.

The woman was arrested and further investigation in the case is on, the official said.
