Pakistan and Saudi Arabia today agreed on exchange of visits by military personnel for training and joint ventures in defence production.
Defence Minister Khawaja Asif called on visiting Saudi Crown Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz, who holds the defence portfolio, at Punjab House here and discussed cooperation in defence.
The two sides agreed to exchanges of military personnel for training and joint ventures in defence production, state-run APP news agency reported.
Asif hoped the Crown Prince's visit would further enhance bilateral ties and boost relations.
He said both sides could be self sufficient in defence equipment production and exports to the international market.
Pakistan is hoping to sell its JF-17 Thunder jets and trainer aircraft to the oil-rich nation besides eyeing deeper economic ties.
