Pakistani flight makes emergency landing in Turkmanistan

A Britain-bound plane of Pakistan International Airlines today made an emergency landing in Turkmanistan's capital city of Ashgabat to save a passenger's life.
The flight PK-775, heading to Leeds Bradford in UK from Islamabad, was diverted after a passenger suffered a severe heart problem.
PIA spokesperson Mashhood Tajwar told PTI the cause of diversion was to save the life of an on board passenger who suffered a severe heart problem during flight.

"PIA managing director Junaid Yunus directed flight Captain to land at the nearest possible location and it was Ashkabad. The plane landed there and the passenger was sent to hospital under the supervision of Pak Embassy officials," he said.
After refuelling, the plane took off for its destination, he said.
